During the early part of the 1980s Breitling launched a new range reference Navitimer ani-digi watches - the Pluton, Cosmos and Jupiter. The rarest of these by far was the Cosmos, a watch now very seldom found for sale anywhere, making them highly sought after collectors pieces in any condition. An extremely limited range of gold plated watches were also produced by Breitling for Asprey. Today these are almost non existent and those that remain are often found in very poor condition due to their age.The exceptional example for sale is an original authentic Asprey edition, designated not only by colour and finish but with'Asprey' being stamped on the case back. Overall cosmetic condition is superb, with no significant signs of ware showing anywhere other than 2 spots at the top of the bracelet where the original gold plating has deteriorated, presumably due to the band rubbing. Measured over a 7 days the analogue clock works perfectly and keeps time with second-perfect quartz accuracy. The digital clock however no longer keeps time and (along with other digital functions) will often show inaccurate readings so please consider this an analogue watch only as you can't rely on the digital display. Provided with the original Breitling case and aeronautical themed outer box, owners manual (believed to be a copy of the original) and a newly issued certificate of authenticity.
With watches for sale from many eras, most are not new so their condition will vary in each case but I do describe them honestly although I always suggest that all images are reviewed as the watch you see will be the watch you receive.
